A partnership created in 2003 between Avaya and CompTIA has
allowed candidates who have already passed the CTP + exam to skip the Avaya
Certified Associate entry-level certification exam. For professionals working
on Avaya networks or planning to do so in the future, this means that obtaining
a supplier-neutral and supplier-specific certification was an accelerated task
and helped them move to high-level Avaya certifications as certified
specialists. . and certified expert.
During 2010, Avaya launched its new professional credentials
program with a large assortment of new certifications for Avaya professionals
at all levels. Unfortunately, the new program is replacing Avaya's previous
certification offerings, including Avaya Certified Associate focused on
convergence. Those working with Avaya convergence technologies should explore
the professional credential program to determine which certifications are

An entry-level certification for people who integrate voice
networks, data networks, generics and applications into powerful corporate
communication solutions. ACAs design, implement and support Avaya solutions in
a real-world environment. ACA certification is required to pursue higher level
Avaya credentials.
